Orange County Business Journal Recognizes Titan HST CEO for Excellence in Entrepreneurship

Local tech entrepreneur and lawyer Vic Merjanian receives award for building next gen emergency response system

Newport Beach, California, March 28, 2018Titan HST, a leading provider of next-gen emergency response systems, today announced that CEO Vic Merjanian was honored with Orange County Business Journal‘s 2018 Excellence In Entrepreneurship Award. Mr. Merjanian was recognized among a distinguished group of peers in the business community.

The award program, now in its 17th year, recognizes individuals who exemplify the American entrepreneurial spirit – individuals who, by their creativity and determination, have established and nurtured successful business ventures.

“The Business Journal is proud of its record of selecting outstanding entrepreneurs, many of whom first come to the public’s attention through our Excellence in Entrepreneurship event,” says Richard Reisman, Publisher and CEO of the Orange County Business Journal. “We are proud that Vic Merjanian now joins the ranks of these standouts.”

Although originally a lawyer by trade, Vic Merjanian was inspired to found Titan HST in 2013 after his close friends and family experienced several emergency experiences while lacking quick and immediate access to help, despite being surrounded by countless people. Mr. Merjanian believed there had to be a better way to empower all with communication tools to address daily threats to safety, including workplace accidents, violent threats, natural disasters and medical emergencies.

Titan HST was created to provide comprehensive two-way emergency communication for all types of organizations – from education and public sector to private businesses – to enhance physical security, improve emergency response times and enable efficient incident resolution. The Titan HST system is deployed nationwide and was used over 18 million times in 2017 alone.

“I’m honored to be recognized by the Business Journal as I’ve always wanted to make a measurable impact in the safety of our nation’s community,” said Vic Merjanian, CEO of Titan HST. “Our team is dedicated to the mission of creating technology to build solutions that have the potential to save lives in the moments that matter.”

Mr. Merjanian serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Two Wings, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating, mentoring and life coaching to empower at-risk youth and survivors of sex trafficking.
